Vitia Architects was established in 1988 with the aim to maintain a small-to-medium Architectural Practice, with emphasis on quality rather than quantity. Vitia Architects is the first and Premier Indigenous Architectural Practice in Fiji presently. Vitia Architects has been established now for more than 20 years and the practice is recognised as one of the leading Architectural Practices in Fiji, having consistantly re-affirmed our recognition with the number of Architectural Design Awards. Vitia Architects draws inspiration from the Essence of Tropical Architecture and the rich, diverse Cultures and Traditions of the Pacific. Our palette is the unique and peaceful pacific, and the Set is the lush tropical landscape of the volcanic or coral atolls, sandy beaches and the rich lagoons and reefs out to sea. Design solutions aim to develop and translate the essence of this Unique Pacific lifestyle and environment where to attain a sustainable built environment where appropriate shade, abundant natural cooling breezes and daylight prevail for the enjoyment of the great outdoors, the view and the wide open spaces. A team approach to design Consideration and Process is fostered with clients to fully realize the belief requirements, aspirations and investment potential. A 3D CAD modelling is used in the design process to underpin the understanding, necessary to achieve the desired end result, whether this be in the Traditional, Modern or Technologically Contemporary Vernacular.
