We work towards protecting forests, watersheds and fisheries so that nature can sustainably provide food, water and livelihoods for the people of Fiji for generations to come — because people need nature to thrive. With communities and an economy that directly depend upon Fiji’s natural resources, stepping up conservation efforts is of critical importance in the country. CI Fiji has been actively involved in working hand in hand with the government, local communities and corporations to ensure sustainability from ridge to reef. Through science, partnership and fieldwork, our field practitioners work to tackle environmental issues from deforestation to climate change — in order to provide food and water security, secure livelihoods and enhance climate resilience.
