On August 23rd, 2000: a group of Fiji Public Service Association (FPSA) members met at the Association’s Headquarters at 298 Waimanu Road, Suva under the leadership of the FPSA General Secretary, Bro Rajeshwar Singh to lay the foundations of a Credit Union. The name ‘Service Worker Credit Union’ (SWCU) was suggested by the General Secretary. Learning from experiences over the years and the need to bring benefits to the members, Bro Singh succeeded in convincing a group of members to launch the Credit Union which is now firmly located within the FPSA premises with good amenities.
